As housing costs rise and gentrification accelerates in Asheville, NC, access to deeply affordable housing is more important than ever. That’s why Griffin is proud to be involved in the development of the Lady Gloria Ridge Apartments, a project that does more than just add units. They’re creating community, stability, and pride for the people who call them home.
Located at 343 West Haywood Street, Lady Gloria Ridge Apartments will offer 41 one-, two-, and three-bedroom rental units, alongside a community center and leasing space. We designed these apartments with thoughtful details, including granite countertops and sunset-facing balconies, because everyone deserves a place that feels cared for.
This property is deed-restricted in perpetuity for affordable housing for individuals and families earning between 30% and 80% area median income or less. With construction almost completed and a projected move-in date of February 2026, we are grateful to have partnered with Haywood Street Community Development on this collaboration with Buncombe County, the City of Asheville, and Dogwood Health Trust to bring the Lady Gloria Ridge Apartments to life. The project will leave a legacy of affordability in downtown Asheville for generations to come.
